Saint Etienne, February 2018 – The BPI team and the General Commissariat for Investment (French Government), after 7 months of study of the KERANOVA project, decided to give a very significant help to our company, convinced of the important potential and the need to support a possible future leader of ophthalmology in France with a real industrial project. This aid rewards the efforts of a team of 21 people, who have been able in 18 months to complete the construction of the first prototype machine equipped for the first time in the world, with new ultrafast laser femto second technology developed by KERANOVA and which should allow within 2 years to put on the market of the first surgical robot for cataract treatment and later for refractive surgery.
